The Competitive Festival of Speech and Drama is held every year at Crayford Manor House and is a popular event in which people can 'compete' against each other in a variety of categories including Prose/Poetry Reading/Writing, Bible Reading, Dramatic Recital, Short-Story Writing and Play Writing.
This years (2003) festival took place on April 5th and was a varied and popular event with 'standards' as high as they have ever been (nearly ALL competitors received at least a distinction award for their contribution(s)).
